How to get fit at home

The first thing people think about when they start their fitness journey is an expensive gym membership. However, it’s completely unnecessary and waste of money. The reality is that most people quit after the first few months.

The best way and most convenient way to start getting in shape without buying anything is using calisthenics. Ancient Spartan warriors, Marital artists, Soldiers and even prisoners have been using it for years to build strength and muscles.

Burpee is perhaps the greatest exercise ever invented and all you need is your body. This is also prisoners and soldiers’ go-to exercise. With this exercise, there will be no more excuses. Even if you’re lazy, no time, no space, with Burpee , none of that mattersThat’s not the only reason it’s my favorite exercise. Another reason is it is a total body workout. Forget about treadmill and any other expensive equipment. Gym membership is absolutely unnecessary. Get up and away from your computer or TV, go down and do 50 Burpees.

You can start with standard 4 counts burpees and then move up to harder variation.

How to do 4 counts burpees:

1.Stand up straight with your feet shoulder width apart.

2. Squat all the way down and put your hand on the ground

3. Thrust your feet backward into push up position

4. Bring your feet back to squatting position and stand back up.

You can do high reps of burpees for your workout, increasing reps as you get stronger.

Another great burpee workout is the pyramid reps scheme:

Start with 20 reps of burpee, walk back and fort for 10 seconds.

Then, do 19 reps, walk back and fort for 10 seconds and so on.

As you can see, you don’t need fancy equipment to get fit. All you need is your body and enough space to move.
