As a single guy, the number one lifestyle that I recommend is minimalist. This lifestyle is ideal because it allows you to live as simply and cheaply as possible while maintains your mobility. Mobility is very important when you young and single. Since you need mobility for opportunities and adventures. Here are some tips on how you can live as minimally as possible:
Dwelling
Renting or housing is a single biggest expense. The best and cheapest place to live is your vehicle. You can turn your car into a living quarter or you can buy a van or if you have the money, buy an RV. Second cheapest option is to simply rent a room from someone else’s house. Renting is best cause you don’t have worry too much about maintenance and other things that homeowners have to worry about.
Food
Eating is important for survival. Most single guys tend to eat out a lot. However, that can be pricey. A cheaper and healthy alternative is to cook your own food. This is great cause it’s way cheaper and also you get to control what ingredients you put into your own food.
Clothing
Sometimes you don’t need a lot of items in your closet in order to look good. This is even truer for a guy’s wardrobe which should be simple and classic. Stick to the classic and pick colors that can be easily mix and match. My favorite outfits are usually in black and white.
Commuting
Ideally, public transportation is best. If you travel around a lot, this is probably the best option. In addition, we have a lot of apps nowadays that makes commuting is easier like Lyft or Uber. The second best option is to ride a motorcycle. There’s nothing manlier than riding a motorcycle. Plus you won’t have to worry about getting stuck in traffic. If you have to get a car for commuting, I would recommend getting a van or a mini RV, so that you can also live in it (kill two birds with one stone).
To sum up, as a single guy you really don’t need that many stuff to live by. Live as simply as possible and leave rooms for other more meaningful things in your life.
